Sir William Feilden, 1st Bt. was born on 13 March 1772.2 He was the son of Joseph Feilden and Margaret Leyland.2 He married Mary Haughton Jackson, daughter of Edmund Jackson, on 30 March 1797.2 He died in 1850.
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Blackburn between 1832 and 1847.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1833.2 He succeeded to the title of 1st Baronet Feilden, of Feniscowles, Lancashire [U.K.] on 21 July 1846.2 He lived at Feniscowles, Lancashire, England.2
