Clement John Fromanteel Cobbold was born on 27 August 1882.1 He was the son of Nathaniel Fromanteel Cobbold and Caroline Ellen Alice Boutell.2 He married, firstly, Stella Willoughby Savile Cameron, daughter of Charles Cameron, on 1 October 1903.1 He married, secondly, Mabel Ethel Morris, daughter of Richard Morris, on 26 September 1919.1 He died on 24 January 1961 at age 78.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practice as a barrister.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Suffolk Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1
