     Sir Roger John Edward Conant, 1st Bt. was born on 28 May 1899.¹ He was the son of Ernest William Proby Conant and Eva Mildred Tryon.³ He married Daphne Lorraine Learoyd, daughter of Alfred Ernest Learoyd, on 9 November 1920.¹ He died in 1973.¹

Leicester [U.K.] on 30 June 1954.¹ He lived at Lyndon Hall, Oakham, Rutland, England.¹

     Major Rupert Thomas Conant was born on 3 December 1901.¹ He was the son of Ernest William Proby Conant and Eva Mildred Tryon.² He married Rachel Faith Grant-Thorold, daughter of Major Harry Grant-Thorold, on 10 September 1938.¹ He died in May 1940 at age 38 at Dunkirk, France, killed in action.¹
     Major Rupert Thomas Conant was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Joanna Faith Conant was born posthumously on 10 November 1940.¹ She is the daughter of Major Rupert Thomas Conant and Rachel Faith Grant-Thorold.² She married Simon Stewart Forster, son of Brigadier Stewart Forster, on 8 May 1969.¹
     From 8 May 1969, her married name became Forster.
