     Brigadier Tristram Hugh Massy-Beresford was born on 10 April 1896.1 He was the son of John George Beresford Massy-Beresford and Hon. Alice Elizabeth Mulholland.2 He married Helen Lindsay Lawford, daughter of Lindsay Crompton Lawford and Helen Ada Southern, on 25 August 1927.1 He died in 1987.1
     Brigadier Tristram Hugh Massy-Beresford was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated First World War.1 He fought in the Second World War, in the Far East, where he became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).1

     Lindsay Crompton Lawford was born in 1857.2 He was the son of George Lawford and Frances Bischoff.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Jane Thomson at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.2 He and Margaret Jane Thomson were divorced in 1896.2 He married, secondly, Helen Ada Southern after 1896.2 He and Margaret Jane Thomson were separated in 1893.2 He died in 1929.2
     Lindsay Crompton Lawford lived in 1893 at Sherbrooke Lodge, Wandsworth Common, London, England.2 He lived at Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a naval attaché.1,2
