     Mary Evelyn Martin was the daughter of Richard Martin.1 She married Sir Quintin McGarel Hogg, Baron Hailsham of St. Marylebone, son of Douglas McGarel Hogg, 1st Viscount Hailsham, on 18 April 1944.1 She died on 10 March 1978, killed in a riding accident.1
     From 18 April 1944, her married name became Hogg.1
