     Edward John Cornwallis Eliot, Lord Eliot was born on 2 April 1827.1 He was the son of Edward Granville Eliot, 3rd Earl of Saint Germans and Lady Jemima Cornwallis.1 He died on 26 November 1864 at age 37, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was styled as Lord Eliot between 1845 and 1864.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1852 in the 1st Life Guards.1

     Hon. Granville Charles Cornwallis Eliot was born on 9 September 1828.1 He was the son of Edward Granville Eliot, 3rd Earl of Saint Germans and Lady Jemima Cornwallis.1 He died on 5 November 1854 at age 26 at Inkerman, RussiaG, killed in action.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Coldstream Guards.1 He fought in the Battle of Inkerman on 5 November 1854.1

     William Gordon Cornwallis Eliot, 4th Earl of Saint Germans was born on 14 December 1829.1 He was the son of Edward Granville Eliot, 3rd Earl of Saint Germans and Lady Jemima Cornwallis.1 He died on 19 March 1881 at age 51, unmarried.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was with the Diplomatic Service between 1849 and 1865.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Devonport between 1866 and 1868.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baron Eliot of Saint Germans, co. Cornwall [G.B., 1784] on 14 September 1870, in his father's lifetime.1 He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Saint Germans, co. Cornwall [U.K., 1815] on 7 October 1877.1

     Henry Cornwallis Eliot, 5th Earl of Saint Germans was born on 11 February 1835.1 He was the son of Edward Granville Eliot, 3rd Earl of Saint Germans and Lady Jemima Cornwallis.1 He married Hon. Emily Harriet Labouchere, daughter of Henry Labouchere, 1st and last Baron Taunton and Frances Baring, on 18 October 1881.1 He died on 24 September 1911 at age 76.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was with the Foreign Office between 1855 and 1881.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Saint Germans, co. Cornwall [U.K., 1815] on 19 March 1881.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baron Eliot of Saint Germans, co. Cornwall [G.B., 1784] on 19 March 1881.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Cornwall.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Cornwll.1

     Hon. Emily Harriet Labouchere was born on 24 June 1844. She was the daughter of Henry Labouchere, 1st and last Baron Taunton and Frances Baring. She married Henry Cornwallis Eliot, 5th Earl of Saint Germans, son of Edward Granville Eliot, 3rd Earl of Saint Germans and Lady Jemima Cornwallis, on 18 October 1881.1 She died on 18 October 1933 at age 89.1
     From 18 October 1881, her married name became Eliot. After her marriage, Hon. Emily Harriet Labouchere was styled as Countess of Saint Germans on 18 October 1881.

     Edward Henry John Cornwallis Eliot, Lord Eliot was born on 30 August 1885.1 He was the son of Henry Cornwallis Eliot, 5th Earl of Saint Germans and Hon. Emily Harriet Labouchere.1 He died on 24 August 1909 at age 23, by his own hand by gunshot.1
     He was styled as Lord Eliot between 1885 and 1909.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant between 1908 and 1909 in the Coldstream Guards.1

     John Dalrymple, 2nd Earl of Stair was born in 1673.1 He was the son of John Dalrymple, 1st Earl of Stair and Elizabeth Dundas. He married Lady Eleanor Campbell, daughter of James Campbell, 2nd Earl of Loudoun and Lady Margaret Montgomerie, in 1714.2 He died in 1747.
     He gained the title of 2nd Earl of Stair. He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3

     Lady Eleanor Campbell was the daughter of James Campbell, 2nd Earl of Loudoun and Lady Margaret Montgomerie.1 She married, firstly, William Primrose, 1st Viscount Primrose, son of Sir William Primrose of Carrington, 2nd Bt. and Mary Scott.1 She married, secondly, John Dalrymple, 2nd Earl of Stair, son of John Dalrymple, 1st Earl of Stair and Elizabeth Dundas, in 1714.1 She died on 21 November 1759.2
     Her married name became Primrose.1 After her marriage, Lady Eleanor Campbell was styled as Viscountess Primrose on 30 November 1703. From 1714, her married name became Dalrymple.1
