     Doris Margaret Tomlinson is the daughter of George Frederick Tomlinson.1 She married Robert Edward de Vere Capell, 10th Earl of Essex, son of Arthur Algernon de Vere Capell and Alice Mabel Currie, on 3 January 1942.1
      From 3 January 1942, her married name became Capell.1 As a result of her marriage, Doris Margaret Tomlinson was styled as Countess of Essex on 18 May 1981.
