     Colin Campbell was the son of Colonel John Campbell and Katherine Claiborne.1 He married Margaret Foster, daughter of unknown Foster.1 He died on 26 January 1752 at Kingston, Jamaica.1 His will (dated 16 September 1748) was probated on 16 April 1752.1
     Colin Campbell lived at Jamaica.1 He matriculated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland, in 1720.1 He was invested as a Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1733.1 He held the office of Member of teh COuncil [Jamaica] in 1742.1 He lived in 1748 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1

     Charlotte Niven Hutcheson was the daughter of Hugh Hutcheson.1 She married Sir Thomas Montgomery-Cuninghame of Cuninghame, 8th Bt., son of Sir James Montgomery-Cuninghame of Cuninghame, 6th Bt. and Janet Cuming, in 1832.1 She died on 25 June 1902.1
     From 1832, her married name became Montgomery-Cuninghame.1
