     Margaret Elizabeth Hampton was born in 1892 at Ashburton, New Zealand.3,4 She was the daughter of John Moffat Hampton and Ellen Jane Bennett.1 She married William John Hampton, son of Joseph Henry Hampton and Mary Troughton, in June 1925.1,5 She died on 3 October 1959.6 She was buried at Ellesmere Public Cemetery, Ellesmere, Canterbury, New Zealand, plot 736.6
     Margaret Elizabeth Hampton also went by the nick-name of Peggy Hampton.
