     William Hampton was born in 1838 at Drumard, Kilmore, County Armagh, Ireland.2,3 He was the son of Benjamin Hampton and Alice Lechie.1 He married Mary Theresa Lechie.1 He married Martha Hampton, daughter of David Hampton and Elizabeth Hampton, in December 1876 at The Manse, Sydenham, Christchurch, New Zealand.4,2 He died on 7 September 1912.5 He was buried at Ashburton Public Cemetery, Old Section, Ashburton, New Zealand, plot 216.5
     William immigrated to Lyttelton, Canterbury, New Zealand on the ship Blue Jacket, arriving on 3 August 1867.2 He was a farmer after 1876 at Lauriston, Canterbury, New Zealand.2

     John Hampton was born on 1 January 1863 at Portadown, County Armagh, Ireland.2 He was the son of William Hampton and Mary Theresa Lechie.1 He married Sarah Jane Smith on 6 March 1888 at Rakaia, Canterbury, New Zealand.2,3 He died on 24 November 1947 at age 84.4,5 He was buried at Prebbleton Anglican Cemetery, Prebbleton, Canterbury, New Zealand, plot 136.5
