     Mary Davis was born circa 1792.3 She was the daughter of John Davis.2 She married Sir Thomas Swinnerton Dyer, 8th Bt., son of Thomas Dyer and Mary Smith, on 11 April 1814.1 She was also reported to have been married in 1806 at Fiddington, Somerset, England.3 She died in 1855.1
     From 11 April 1814, her married name became Dyer.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir John Dyer was born on 5 February 1772.1 He was the son of Thomas Dyer and Mary Smith.2 He married Jane Halliday, daughter of Simon Halliday, on 14 March 1795.1 He died on 2 July 1816 at age 44, killed.1
     Maj.-Gen. Sir John Dyer gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1

     Sir Thomas Swinnerton Dyer, 9th Bt. was born on 10 December 1799.1 He is the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir John Dyer and Jane Halliday.2 He married Mary Anne Clement, daughter of Colonel John Albeck Clement, on 7 February 1832.1 He died on 2 October 1878 at age 78.1
     Sir Thomas Swinnerton Dyer, 9th Bt. gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Dyer, of Tottenham, co. Middlesex [E., 1678] on 27 March 1854.3 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Surrey.1 He lived at Westcroft Park, Chobham, Surrey, England.1 He lived at Brompton Hall, Middlesex, England.1 He also had three daughters.1
