     Captain Garrett Dillon is the son of Thomas Dillon and Mary Dillon.2,3 He married Margaret MacCostello, daughter of unknown MacCostello, Baron of Costello.4
     Captain Garrett Dillon gained the rank of Captain in the service of the an independent company.4 He lived at Portlick.4 He was his great-grandson Gerald Dillon, Prime Sergeant to JAMES II with Colonel John Browne (ancestor of the Marquess of Sligo), drafted the Articles of Limerick on 16 October 1691.4
