     Joseph Goff was born on 28 October 1817.3 He was the son of Joseph Goff and Jane Stannus.2 He married Lady Adelaide Henrietta Louisa Hortense Knox, daughter of Thomas Knox, 2nd Earl of Ranfurly and Mary Juliana Stuart, on 26 September 1850.1 He died on 26 December 1872 at age 55.1
