Thomas Knox, 2nd Earl of Ranfurly was born on 19 April 1786.3 He is the son of Thomas Knox, 1st Earl of Ranfurly and Hon. Diana Jane Pery.2 He married Mary Juliana Stuart, daughter of Most Rev. Hon. William Stuart and Sophia Margaret Juliana Penn, on 28 February 1815.4 He died on 21 March 1858 at age 71.
