     James Mansfield was born on 23 December 1703.1 He was the son of Peter Mansfield and Alisone Hutchisone.1 He married Janet McIntosh, daughter of Lauchlan McIntosh, on 10 December 1727.1 He died on 23 February 1753 at age 49.1
