     Captain Lord Edward O'Brien was the son of Edward O'Bryen and Mary Carrick. He married, firstly, Diana Hotham, daughter of General George Hotham and Diana Pennyman, in 1805. He married, secondly, Gertrude Grace Methuen, daughter of Paul Cobb Methuen and Matilda Gooch, on 11 April 1815. He married, thirdly, Lady Elizabeth Susan Somerset, daughter of Henry Charles Somerset, 6th Duke of Beaufort and Lady Charlotte Sophia Leveson-Gower, on 16 April 1822.1 He died on 9 March 1824.
     Captain Lord Edward O'Brien gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.

     Gertrude Grace Methuen was the daughter of Paul Cobb Methuen and Matilda Gooch. She married Captain Lord Edward O'Brien, son of Edward O'Bryen and Mary Carrick, on 11 April 1815. She died on 1 May 1817.
     Her married name became O'Brien.

     Sir Thomas Gooch, 3rd Bt. was born on 23 July 1720.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Gooch, 2nd Bt..1 He died on 10 September 1781 at age 61.1
     Sir Thomas Gooch, 3rd Bt. succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Gooch, of Benacre Hall, Suffolk [G.B., 1746] on 14 February 1754.1
