     Michael Edward Gibb was the son of Sir Alexander Gibb.1 He married Ursula Mary Gibbs, daughter of Major Guy Melvil Gibbs and Margaret Olivia St. John, on 14 December 1939.1 He died on 10 August 1970, as a result of a car accident.1
     Michael Edward Gibb was registered as a Member, Institution of Structural Engineers (M.I.Struct.E.).1 He was registered as a Member, American Society of Civil Engineers (M.A.S.C.E.).1 He graduated from Master of Arts (M.A.).1
