     Isabella Douglas is the daughter of Admiral Sir James Douglas of Springwood Park, 1st Bt.1 She married Sir Henry Hay-Makdougall of Alderston, 4th Bt., son of Sir George Hay-Makdougall of Alderston, 3rd Bt. and Barbara Makdougall, on 11 May 1782.1
      From 11 May 1782, her married name became Hay.

     General Sir Thomas Makdougall-Brisbane, Bt. married Anna Maria Hay, daughter of Sir Henry Hay-Makdougall of Alderston, 4th Bt. and Isabella Douglas, in 1819.1 He died on 31 January 1860, without surviving male issue.1
     He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.).1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.).1
