     Lord Arthur Francis Henry Hill was born on 28 August 1895.¹ He was the son of Arthur Wills John Wellington Trumbull Hill, 6th Marquess of Downshire and Katherine Mary Hare.¹ He married Ishabel Wilhelmina Sheila MacDougall, daughter of Lt.-Col. Stewart MacDougall, on 15 October 1927.¹ He died on 25 December 1953 at age 58.¹
     Lord Arthur Francis Henry Hill usually went by his middle name of Francis.¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 2nd Dragoons, Scots Greys.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to the Governor-General of South Africa between 1921 and 1924.¹

     Ishabel Wilhelmina Sheila MacDougall was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Stewart MacDougall.¹ She married Lord Arthur Francis Henry Hill, son of Arthur Wills John Wellington Trumbull Hill, 6th Marquess of Downshire and Katherine Mary Hare, on 15 October 1927.¹ She died on 26 March 1961.¹

     Colonel Sir Brian Walter de Stopham Barttelot, 5th Bt. was born on 17 July 1941.¹ He is the son of Brigadier Sir Walter de Stopham Barttelot, 4th Bt. and Sara Patricia Ravenscroft.² He married Hon. Mary Angela Fiona Weld-Forester, daughter of Cecil George Wilfred Weld-Forester, 7th Baron Forester of Willey Park and Marie Louise Priscilla Perrott, on 20 November 1969.¹
     Colonel Sir Brian Walter de Stopham Barttelot, 5th Bt. succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Barttelot, of Stopham, Sussex [U.K., 1875] on 16 August 1944.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.¹ He held the office of Equerry to HM Queen Elizabeth II between 1970 and 1972.¹ He was Military Secretary to the Major-General commanding London District and Household Division between 1978 and 1980.¹ He was admitted to Liveryman of the Gunmakers' Company in 1980.¹ He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the Coldstream Guards between 1987 and 1992.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Sussex in 1988.¹ He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1989.¹ He was Colonel of the Foot Guards between 1989 and 1992.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Coldstream Guards.¹ He was admitted to Honourable Corps of Gentleman at Arms in 1993.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex in 1994.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of West Sussex between 1997 and 1998.¹ He lived in 2003 at Stopham Park, Pulborough, Sussex, England.¹

     Averil Beaumont was born in 1841.¹ She was the daughter of Captain Richard Beaumont and Hon. Susan Hussey Bosville Macdonald.¹ She married Colonel Sir Henry Hussey Vivian, 1st Baron Swansea, son of Major John Henry Vivian and Sarah Jones, on 10 November 1870.¹ She died on 14 January 1934.¹
     Her married name became Vivian.
