     Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. and Lady Anne Carmichael.2 He died on 14 September 1758, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Maxwell, of Pollok, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1682] on 24 December 1752.1

     Sir Walter Maxwell of Auldhouse, 4th Bt. was born on 15 February 1732 at Eastwood, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Steuart.3 He married D'Arcy Brisbane, daughter of Thomas Brisbane of Brisbane and Isabella Nicolson, on 19 February 1760.1 He died on 29 April 1762 at age 30.1
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Maxwell, of Pollok, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1682] on 14 September 1758.1

     Sir James Maxwell of Auldhouse, 6th Bt. was born on 26 March 1735.1 He was the son of Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Steuart.2 He was baptised on 27 March 1735 at Eastwood, Renfrewshire, ScotlandG.3 A contract for the marriage of Sir James Maxwell of Auldhouse, 6th Bt. and Frances Colhoun was signed on 23 November 1764 at Barony, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.1,3 He died on 3 May 1785 at age 50.1
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Maxwell, of Pollok, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1682] circa July 1762.1

     Frances Colhoun was the daughter of Robert Colhoun. She married by contract, firstly, Sir James Maxwell of Auldhouse, 6th Bt., son of Sir John Maxwell of Auldhouse, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Steuart, on 23 November 1764 at Barony, Lanarkshire, ScotlandG.2,3 She married, secondly, Sir John Shaw-Stewart of Blackhall and Greenock, 4th Bt., son of Sir Michael Stewart, 3rd Bt. and Helen Houstoun, in April 1786.1 She died on 21 March 1818.3
     She was also known as Frances Colquhoun.2 From 23 November 1764, her married name became Maxwell. From April 1786, her married name became Shaw-Stewart.
