     Reverend Robert Hughes was the son of Rev. Sir Robert Hughes, 3rd Bt. and Gratiana Mangles.² He married Judith Porteus, daughter of Robert Porteus.¹ He died in 1828.¹

     Sir Frederick Hughes, 7th Bt. was born in 1816.¹ He was the son of Reverend Robert Hughes and Judith Porteus.² He married Matilda Yates, daughter of Edward Yates, in 1848.¹ He died on 1 February 1889, without issue.¹
     He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Hughes, of East Bergholt, co. Suffolk [G.B., 1773] on 21 June 1864.¹

     Matilda Yates is the daughter of Edward Yates.² She married Sir Frederick Hughes, 7th Bt., son of Reverend Robert Hughes and Judith Porteus, in 1848.¹
      From 1848, her married name became Hughes.

     Gratiana Hughes was the daughter of Rev. Sir Robert Hughes, 3rd Bt. and Gratiana Mangles.² She died, unmarried.¹

     Bethia Hiscutt was the daughter of Thomas Hiscutt.² She married Rev. Sir Robert Hughes, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Richard Hughes, 1st Bt. and Joanne Collyer, in 1798.¹
      From 1798, her married name became Hughes.

     Rev. Sir Thomas Collingwood Hughes, 8th Bt. was born on 12 August 1800 at Maken Parish, Devon, England.^1,2 He was the son of Rev. Sir Robert Hughes, 3rd Bt. and Bethia Hiscutt.³ He married, firstly, Elizabeth St. John Butcher, daughter of Robert Butcher, on 31 May 1820.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Agnes Winwood Smith, daughter of Sir William Smith, 3rd Bt., on 20 April 1881.¹ He died on 22 May 1889 at age 88.⁴
     He was the Rector at Little Billing, Northamptonshire, England.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Hughes, of East Bergholt, co. Suffolk [G.B., 1773] on 1 February 1889.¹
