     Sir Edward Hungerford is the son of Sir Walter Hungerford and Jane Bulstrode.2 He married, firstly, Jane la Zouche, daughter of John la Zouche, 7th Baron Zouche (of Haryngworth) and Joan Dinham.1 He married, secondly, Agnes (?)1 He died on 24 January 1521/22.1
     In 1513 he served in King Henry VIII's French campaign.1 He was appointed Knight in 1513 at Tournai, Belgium.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1517.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Dorset in 1518.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Somerset in 1518.1

     Walter Hungerford, 1st Lord Hungerford of Heytesbury was born circa 1502.1 He was the son of Sir Edward Hungerford and Jane la Zouche.2 He married, firstly, Susan Danvers, daughter of Sir John Danvers.1 He married, secondly, Alice Sandys, daughter of William Sandys, 1st Baron Sandys and Margaret Bray, in 1527.1 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Hussey, daughter of John Hussey, 1st Lord Hussey, in October 1532.3 He died on 28 July 1540, beheaded along with Thomas Cromwell, when the Barony was forfeited.1
     He was a close associate of Thomas Cromwell.1 He had two other daughters.1 He held the office of Squire of the Body to King Henry VIII circa 1522.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Wiltshire in 1533.1 He was created 1st Lord Hungerford of Heytesbury [England by writ] on 27 April 1536.1 On 16 July 1540 he was attainted for sodomy, sorcery and subversion.1
