     Esmé Louise Smith-Ryland is the daughter of Charles Austin Smith-Ryland.2 She married Major Ulick Otway Vortigern Lloyd-Verney, son of Sir Harry Lloyd-Verney and Lady Joan Elizabeth Mary Cuffe, on 6 November 1929.1 She died on 2 September 1978.1
     From 6 November 1929, her married name became Lloyd-Verney.1
