     Major John Vivien Bailey was the son of Brig.-Gen. Vivien Telford Bailey.1 He married Evelyn Diana Noel, daughter of Lt.-Col. Francis Arthur Gerard Noel and Evelyn Bond-Cabbell, on 7 November 1936.1 He died in July 1943, killed in action.1
     Major John Vivien Bailey gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Scots.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
