     He was educated at Clayesmore School, Iwerne Minster, Dorset, England.¹ He lived in 2003 at Llyndir, Dolgellau, Gwynedd, Wales.¹

     Evelyn Adelaide Dawnay was born on 6 July 1904.¹ She is the daughter of Nigel William Dawnay and Daisy Rosalie Norman Dunnett.¹ She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. James Archibald Innes, son of James Innes, on 16 March 1927.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Edmond Joly de Lotbiniere, son of Brig.-Gen. Henri Gustave Joly de Lotbiniere and Mildred Louisa Grenfell, on 19 January 1954.¹
      From 16 March 1927, her married name became Innes. From 19 January 1954, her married name became Joly de Lotbiniere.

     Thomas Badd, 1st and last Bt. was born circa 1607.¹ He was the son of Emmanuel Bad.¹ He married Elizabeth (?) before 1658.¹ He died on 10 June 1683, without surviving issue.¹ He was buried at Fareham, Hampshire, England.¹
     He was created 1st Baronet Badd, of Cames Oyselle, co. Southampton [England] on 28 February 1642/43.¹ He was invested as a Knight on 5 March 1642/43 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ In December 1647 he was fined £470 for being a Royalist.¹ On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.¹

     Lt.-Col. Edmond Joly de Lotbiniere is the son of Brig.-Gen. Henri Gustave Joly de Lotbiniere and Mildred Louisa Grenfell. He married Evelyn Adelaide Dawnay, daughter of Nigel William Dawnay and Daisy Rosalie Norman Dunnett, on 19 January 1954.¹
     He lived at Horringer Manor, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England.¹

     Brig.-Gen. Henri Gustave Joly de Lotbiniere was born on 10 March 1868. He married Mildred Louisa Grenfell in 1902.
     He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.). He lived at Brandon Hall, Suffolk, England.

     Mildred Louisa Grenfell married Brig.-Gen. Henri Gustave Joly de Lotbiniere in 1902. She died in 1953.
      Her married name became Joly de Lotbiniere.

     Daisy Isabel Dawnay was born on 25 October 1917.¹ She is the daughter of Nigel William Dawnay and Daisy Rosalie Norman Dunnett.¹
     She lived in 2003 at St. Margaret's, Dedham, Essex, England.¹

     Sybil Mary Dawnay was born on 7 April 1876.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. William Frederick Dawnay and Lady Adelaide Helen Parker.¹ She died on 9 October 1959 at age 83, unmarried.¹
     She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1918.¹
