Sir Edward Cust, 1st Bt. and Mary Anne Boode, on 3 December 1850.2 He died on 8 January 1869 at age 50, without issue.1
     He brought back ferns from Australia and New Zealand for his brother William's fernery.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1
