     Lt.-Col. John Horace Thomas Stapleton was born before 1799. He was the son of Lt.-Gen. William Stapleton and Anna Maria Keppel. He married Hon. Georgiana Maria Fitzroy, daughter of Lt.-Col. George Ferdinand Fitzroy, 2nd Baron Southampton and Laura Keppel, on 2 June 1814. He married, secondly, Hon. Charlotte Georgiana Ponsonby, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir William Ponsonby and Hon. Georgiana Fitzroy, on 8 July 1834.1 He died on 7 December 1836.
