     William Paul was born in 1673 at Braywick, Berkshire, EnglandG.1,3 He was the son of James Paul and Martha Duppa.4 He married Lady Catherine Fane, daughter of Vere Fane, 4th Earl of Westmorland and Rachel Bence, in 1696.3 He died in May 1711.3
     He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for New Windsor from 1710 to 1711.3
