     Charles Des Voeux was born on 29 April 1802 at York, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Des Voeux, 2nd Bt. and Christina Hird.1,2 He married Hon. Frances Henrietta Law, daughter of Edward Law, 1st Baron Ellenborough and Anne Towry, on 8 March 1832.1 He died on 9 August 1833 at age 31 at Brussels, Belgium.1

     Elizabeth Pitt is the daughter of William Norman Pitt.1 She married, firstly, Hon. Michael David Sieff, son of Israel Moses Sieff, Baron Sieff and Rebecca Marks, in 1975.1 She married, secondly, Sir Robert Haslam, Baron Haslam, son of Percy Haslam and Mary (?), on 20 July 1996.1
     From 1975, her married name became Sieff.1 As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Pitt was styled as Baroness Haslam on 20 July 1996. From 20 July 1996, her married name became Haslam.1
