     Lt. Hon. David Hugh Joicey was born on 21 April 1922.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Hugh Edward Joicey, 3rd Baron Joicey and Lady Joan Katherine Lambton.2 He died in September 1943 at age 21 at Salerno, Italy, from wounds received in action.1
     Lt. Hon. David Hugh Joicey gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

Hugh Edward Joicey, 3rd Baron Joicey and Lady Joan Katherine Lambton.2 He married Elisabeth Marion Leslie Melville, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Ian Leslie Melville and Charlotte Isabel Stirling, on 27 March 1952.1 He died in 1993.1
     Michael Edward Joicey, 4th Baron Joicey was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Joicey, of Chester-le-Street, co. Durham [U.K., 1893] on 14 October 1966.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Joicey, of Chester-le-Street, co. Durham [U.K., 1906] on 14 October 1966.1

Ian Leslie Melville and Charlotte Isabel Stirling.2,1 She married Michael Edward Joicey, 4th Baron Joicey, son of Lt.-Col. Hugh Edward Joicey, 3rd Baron Joicey and Lady Joan Katherine Lambton, on 27 March 1952.3 She died on 25 January 2003 at age 74.3
     Her married name became Joicey. As a result of her marriage, Elisabeth Marion Leslie Melville was styled as Baroness Joicey on 14 October 1966.
