He and Olga Prinzessin zu Löwenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg were divorced on 20 August 1920 at Leipzig, Brandenburg, GermanyG. He was the son of Johann Georg III Kurfürst von Sachsen and Anne Sophia Oldenburg, Princess of Denmark.1 He married Eleanore Erdmuthe Luise Prinzessin von Sachsen-Eisenach, daughter of Johann Georg I Herzog von Sachsen-Eisenach and Joanetta von Sayn-Wittgenstein, on 17 April 1692. He died on 27 April 1694 at age 25.
     He was a member of the House of Wettin.2 He succeeded as the Kurfurst von Sachsen in 1691.1
