Samuel Smith, on 24 March 1832.1 He died on 24 May 1890 at age 80, with other issue (died young or unmarried):.1
     He was General 9th Bengal Light Cavalry.1

     Martha Rose Diana Smith was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Samuel Smith. She married General William Binfield Wemyss, son of James Wemyss and Caroline Charlotte Binfield, on 24 March 1832.1 She died on 23 October 1876.1
     She was Bengal Cavalry.1 Her married name became Wemyss.
