     Elizabeth St. Clair was the daughter of Henry St. Clair, 1st/10th Lord Sinclair and Grizel Cockburn.² She married David Wemyss, 4th Earl of Wemyss, son of Sir James Wemyss, Lord Burntisland and Margaret Wemyss, Countess of Wemyss, circa 5 July 1716.¹ She died in 1721.¹
      Her married name became Wemyss.

     Lady Elizabeth Gordon was the daughter of William Gordon, 17th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Elizabeth Wemyss.¹ She married James Wemyss, son of James Wemyss, 5th Earl of Wemyss and Janet Charteris, on 29 August 1757. She died on 24 January 1803.²
      Her married name became Wemyss.

     Janet Charteris was the daughter of Colonel Frances Charteris and Helen Swinton. She married James Wemyss, 5th Earl of Wemyss, son of David Wemyss, 4th Earl of Wemyss and Lady Anne Douglas, on 17 September 1720. She died on 1 March 1778.
      Her married name became Wemyss.

     David Wemyss, 6th Earl of Wemyss was born on 30 July 1721. He was the son of James Wemyss, 5th Earl of Wemyss and Janet Charteris. He married unknown daughter d'Uxhull, daughter of unknown d'Uxhull, Baron d'Uxhill in Neuchatel, on 9 September 1776. He died on 29 April 1787 at age 65.
     He gained the title of 6th Earl of Wemyss.

     Francis Charteris, 7th Earl of Wemyss was born on 21 October 1723. He was the son of James Wemyss, 5th Earl of Wemyss and Janet Charteris. He married Lady Catherine Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, 2nd Duke of Gordon and Lady Henrietta Mordaunt, on 12 September 1745.¹ He died on 24 August 1808 at age 84.
     He gained the title of 7th Earl of Wemyss. He was given the name of Francis Wemyss at birth. On 24 February 1731/32 his name was legally changed to Francis Charteris.

     James Wemyss was born on 23 February 1726.¹ He was the son of James Wemyss, 5th Earl of Wemyss and Janet Charteris. He married Lady Elizabeth Gordon, daughter of William Gordon, 17th Earl of Sutherland and Lady Elizabeth Wemyss, on 29 August 1757. He died on 10 May 1786 at age 60, with other issue (died unm):.¹
     He was Member of Parliament (M.P.) Sutherland.¹

     Randolph Gordon Erskine-Wemyss of Wemyss was born on 11 July 1858.² He was the son of James Hay Erskine-Wemyss and Millicent Anne Mary Erskine. He married, firstly, Lady Lillian Mary Paulet, daughter of John Paulet, 14th Marquess of Winchester and Hon. Mary Montagu, on 18 July 1884. He and Lady Lillian Mary Paulet were divorced in 1898. He married, secondly, Lady Eva Cecilia Margaret Wellesley, daughter of William Henry Wellesley, 2nd Earl Cowley and Emily Gwendoline Williams, on 23 November 1898.¹ He died on 17 July 1908 at age 50.²
     He was Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.).²

     James Hay Erskine-Wemyss was born on 29 August 1829.¹ He was the son of Rear-Admiral James Erskine Wemyss of Wemyss and Lady Emma Hay. He married Millicent Anne Mary Erskine, daughter of Hon. John Kennedy-Erskine and Lady Augusta Fitz-Clarence, on 17 May 1855.¹ He died on 29 March 1864 at age 34.¹
     He lived Wemyss Castle.¹ He was given the name of James Hay Wemyss at birth.¹ He was Ld-Lt and Member of Parliament (M.P.) Fife.¹

     Rear-Admiral James Erskine Wemyss of Wemyss was born on 9 July 1789.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss and Frances Erskine. He married Lady Emma Hay, daughter of William Hay, 17th Earl of Erroll and Alicia Eliot, on 8 August 1826.² He died on 3 April 1854 at age 64.¹
     He lived Wemyss.² He was Member of Parliament (M.P.) , R-Adml, Ld-Lt and Sheriff-Pncpl Fife in 1820.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.).¹ He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.¹

     Lt.-Gen. William Wemyss was born on 9 April 1760.¹ He was the son of James Wemyss and Lady Elizabeth Gordon. He married Frances Erskine, daughter of Sir William Erskine, Bt., on 16 September 1788. He married Frances Erskine, daughter of Sir William Erskine, Bt., on 16 September 1788.¹ He died on 4 February 1822 at age 61.
     He lived Wemyss.¹ He was Lieutenant-General.¹
