Sir George Warrender of Lochend, 6th Bt. was born on 7 October 1825 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was the son of Sir John Warrender of Lochend, 5th Bt. and Lady Julian Jane Maitland.1 He married Helen Purves-Hume-Campbell, daughter of Sir Hugh Purves-Hume-Campbell of Marchmont, 7th Bt. and Margaret Penelope Spottiswoode, on 13 July 1854 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.1 He died on 13 June 1901 at age 75 at 87 Eaton Square, London, England.1 He was buried at Grange Cemetery, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 His will was probated, at £456,138.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Coldstream Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Warrender, of Lochend, co. Haddington [G.B., 1715] on 21 January 1867.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Haddington.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Haddington.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Edinburgh.2

Sir Hugh Purves-Hume-Campbell of Marchmont, 7th Bt. was born on 15 December 1812.2 He was the son of Sir William Purves-Hume-Campbell, 6th Bt. and Charlotte Rey.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Penelope Spottiswoode, daughter of John Spottiswoode and Helen Wauchope, on 30 January 1834 at Spottiswoode, Berwickshire, Scotland.2 He died on 30 January 1894 at age 81 at 18 Hill Street, Berkeley Square, London, England.2
