     Lady Sophia van Keppel was born before 1716. She was the daughter of Sir Arnold Joost van Keppel, 1st Earl of Albemarle and Gertrude de Quirna van der Duyn.1 She married General John Thomas, son of Sir Edmond Thomas, 2nd Bt. and Mary Howe, in 1731.1 She died on 25 May 1773.
     From 1731, her married name became Thomas.1
