Lt.-Col. Sir Frederick Thomas Arthur Hervey-Bathurst, 4th Bt. was born on 13 March 1833.1 He was the son of Sir Frederick Hervey-Bathurst, 3rd Bt. and Louisa Mary Smythe.2 He married Ada Ribton, daughter of Sir John Sheppy Ribton, 3rd Bt., on 24 April 1869.1 He died on 20 May 1900 at age 67.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Wiltshire between 1861 and 1865.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Grenadier Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 4th Baronet Hervey-Bathurst, of Lainston, Hampshire [U.K., 1818] on 29 October 1881.1 He lived at Clarendon Park, Wiltshire, England.1
