     Catherine Mary Walter was born on 2 December 1820.1 She was the daughter of John Walter and Mary Smythe.1 She died on 16 January 1844 at age 23, from a chill.1 She was buried at St. Catherine's Church, Bear Wood, Wokingham, Berkshire, England.1

     Captain Sir Edward Walter was born in 1824.1 He was the son of John Walter and Mary Smythe.1 He married Mary Anne Althorpe, daughter of J. C. Althorpe.1 He died on 28 February 1904.1
     Captain Sir Edward Walter gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 8th Hussars.1 In 1859 he founded the Corps of Commissionaires.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1885.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1887.1

     Helen Frances Catherine Douglas was born on 27 December 1769.1 She was the daughter of Erskine Douglas.1 She married Rt. Rev. Daniel Sandford, son of Reverend Daniel Sandford and Sarah Chapone, on 11 October 1790.1 She died on 11 January 1837 at age 67 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
     From 11 October 1790, her married name became Sandford.1

     Gilbert Hay was the son of Sir William de la Haye, 1st Lord Hay and Margaret Gray.2 He married Alice Hay, daughter of Sir William Hay of Yester.2 He died on 7 September 1436.2
     In 1424 he was hostage in England for King James I's ransom.2
