Rt. Hon. Sir George Clerk of Penicuik, 6th Bt. was born in 1787.3 He was the son of James Clerk and Janet Irving.2 He married Maria Anne Law, daughter of Ewan Law and Henrietta Sarah Markham, on 13 August 1810.3 He died on 23 December 1867 at Penicuik House, Penicuik, Midlothian, Scotland.4
