     Captain Joseph Clayton Jennyns de Windt was born circa 1815.2 He married Elizabeth Sarah Johnson, daughter of Captain John Samuel Willes Johnson and Elizabeth de Windt, Vicomte Campt de Rastignac.2 He died on 3 August 1863, killed when his horse fell on him.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 15th Hussars.1
