Captain Clement Loftus Long was born in 1881 at Hertford, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Samuel Long and Alice Jane Wigram.1 He married Mary Florence Jackson, daughter of John Peter Jackson and Florence Evans, on 3 April 1907.2 He died on 6 February 1964.
