     Charles Cavendish, Viscount Mansfield was born in 1627.2 He was the son of William Cavendish, 1st Duke of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Elizabeth Basset.1 He married Elizabeth Rogers, daughter of Richard Rogers and Anne Cheeke, before 1659.4 He died in 1659, without issue.1

Mary O'Brien was born on 7 May 1662.1 She was the daughter of Henry O'Brien, Lord O'Brien and Katherine Stuart, Baroness Clifton (of Leighton Bromswold).1 She married John FitzGerald, 18th Earl of Kildare, son of Wentworth FitzGerald, 17th Earl of Kildare and Lady Elizabeth Holles.1 She died on 24 November 1683 at age 21.1
     As a result of her marriage, Hon. Mary O'Brien was styled as Countess of Kildare. Her married name became FitzGerald.1
