     John Thomas Anderson was born circa 1822.2 He was the son of Reverend Thomas Anderson and Lydia Gould.2 He married Mary Montgomerie, daughter of William Eglinton Montgomerie and Susanna Fraser Anderson, on 8 August 1872.1 He died on 2 April 1894, without issue.3
     He was invested as a Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) [Canada].1
