     Sir James Howard, Lord Maltravers was baptised on 17 July 1607 with King James I of Great Britain as his godparent(s).1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Howard, 21st Earl of Arundel and Lady Alethea Talbot.1 He died in July 1624 at Gent, Belgium, from smallpox, unmarried.1 He was buried at Arundel Castle, Arundel, Sussex, England.1
     Sir James Howard, Lord Maltravers was styled as Lord Maltravers between 1607 and 1624.1 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 4 November 1616.1

     John Paul Stafford-Howard, 4th Earl of Stafford was born on 26 June 1700. He was the son of John Stafford-Howard and Mary Southcote. He married Elizabeth Mary Michael Ewans, daughter of Abraham Ewans, in 1738. He died on 1 April 1762 at age 61.
     John Paul Stafford-Howard, 4th Earl of Stafford gained the title of 4th Earl of Stafford.
