Lionel Tollemache, 4th Earl of Dysart was born on 1 May 1708.2 He was the son of Lionel Tollemache, Lord Huntingtower and Henrietta Cavendish.2 He married Lady Grace Carteret, daughter of John Carteret, 2nd Earl Granville and Frances Worsley, on 22 July 1729.2 He died on 10 March 1770 at age 61.3
He succeeded to the title of 4th Earl of Dysart, co. Fife [S., 1643] on 23 February 1727.2 He succeeded to the title of 5th Baronet Tollemache on 23 February 1727. He succeeded to the title of 4th Lord Huntingtower, co. Perth [S., 1643] on 23 February 1727.2 He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Thistle (K.T.) in 1743.2 He had seven other children.3
