Matthew Fortescue was born on 12 April 1754.3 He was the son of Matthew Fortescue, 2nd Baron Fortescue of Castle Hill and Anne Campbell.1,2 He married, firstly, Henrietta Archer, daughter of Colonel – Archer, on 1 November 1778.3 He married, secondly, Henrietta Anne Hoare, daughter of Sir Richard Hoare, 1st Bt. and Frances Anne Acland, on 6 June 1795.1 He died on 19 November 1842 at age 88.4 He was buried at Barnes, Surrey, England.4

Arthur Henry Dyke Troyte was born on 3 May 1811.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Dyke Acland, 6th Bt. and Lydia Elizabeth Hoare.1 He married Frances Williams, daughter of Robert Williams, on 15 September 1835.1 He died on 19 June 1857 at age 46.1
