Sir Edmund Hastings, 1st and last Lord Hastings (of Inchmahome) was the son of Sir Henry de Hastings and Joan de Cauntelo.1 He married Isabel Russell, Countess of Monteith, daughter of Sir John Russell and Isabel, Countess of Monteith.1 He died on 24 June 1314, killed in action, without issue.1
In 1296 he swore allegiance to King Edward I.1 He fought in the Battle of Falkirk in 1298, for the English.1 He was created 1st Lord Hastings, of Inchmahome [England by writ] in 1299.1 He fought in the Siege of Carlaverock in 1300.1 He fought in the Battle of Bannockburn on 24 June 1314, on the English side.1
