     Sir James Dunbar was the son of Sir Alexander Dunbar of Westfield and Isobel Sutherland.2 He married Eupheme Dunbar, daughter of Patrick Dunbar of Cumnock and Mochrum, in 1474.1 He died on 20 April 1504.1
     He held the office of Hereditary Sheriff of Moray in 1498.1 He lived at Westfield, Morayshire, Scotland.1
