     Margaret Dunbar is the daughter of Patrick Dunbar of Cumnock and Mochrum.1 She married Sir John Dunbar of Mochrum, son of Sir Alexander Dunbar of Westfield and Isobel Sutherland.1 She died in 1483.2
      Her married name became Dunbar.

     Sir George Dunbar of Mochrum, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir James Dunbar of Mochrum, 1st Bt. and Isobel Nicolson.2 He married Janet Young, daughter of Sir John Young of Lenie.1 He died in October 1747.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Scots Dragoons.1 He fought in the War of Spanish Succession.2 He sold Mochrum and Pankill and bought Woodside, Stirlingshire.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Dunbar, of Mochrum, co. Wigtown [N.S., 1694] in 1718.1 On 14 April 1744 he became the chief of his family on the death of Ludovic Dunbar of Westfield.1
