Sir Gerald Gordon Ley Ley was born on 5 November 1902.1 He was the son of Henry Gordon Ley and Rhoda Prodgers.2 He and Rosemary Catherine Macpherson were divorced.1 He married Rosemary Catherine Macpherson, daughter of Captain Duncan Macpherson, on 19 February 1936.1 He died on 24 March 1980 at age 77, having by his 1st wife had:.1
He was Territorial Decoration (T.D.).1 He graduated with a Eton and New College Oxford Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was also known as 3rd Baronet [U.K. Life Peer].1 He was Captain 1st Derbys Yeo, RAC (TA), High Sheriff Cumberland , Lord Manors Lazonby, Staffield, Glassonby and Kirkoswald, Cumberland in 1937.1 On 21 August 1958 married 2nd (divorce 1968) Grace, daughter of Harold Foster, of Pershore, Worcs.1
