     William Keir Balfour was born on 9 December 1869.1 He was the son of Major Francis Walter Balfour and Jane Amelia Keir.1 He married Mary Nairn, daughter of Sir Michael Barker Nairn, 1st Bt., on 12 April 1910.1 He died on 10 September 1941 at age 71.1
     William Keir Balfour held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Fife.1

     Aidan Joseph Merry Gibbs was born on 9 February 1957.2 He is the son of Field Marshal Sir Roland Christopher Gibbs and Davinia Jean Merry. He married Leonie Patricia Fox-Pitt, daughter of Captain Edward Arthur Mervyn Lane Fox-Pitt and Janet Mary Scrymgeour-Wedderburn, on 23 March 1982.1
     Aidan Joseph Merry Gibbs also went by the nick-name of Joe.2
